This navy jacket Illustrates cantate's signature features. For this season, we chose to use super fine merino wool 140s in the warp and 100% mohair in the weft. The merino wool is 72 gauge fine twined yarn, while the mohair is 24 gauge single-threaded yarn. Incidentally, we've always felt that the 24 gauge single-threaded mohair yarn used here in the weft is the finest example of this material.
The raw mohair, sourced from South African summer kid goats, is springy and resilient, and possesses a truly exceptional sheen and luster, making it world-renowned as the "diamond of clothing fibers." This mohair is also wrinkle and dust resistant, making it the perfect tailored summer item.
The design is tailored according to cantate's standards. It is single-breasted with the usual two-buttons, and without direct changes to the artistic details or tailoring of the design.
