“Twist And Shout”
Using the 41 khakis that were a favorite of Ernest Hemingway's while he was deployed as a war correspondent during World War 2 as our base, we came up with these cantate-style chinos. Our chinos became quite well-known for combining the roomy crotch/hips and baggy frame of 41 khakis with moleskin material, regardless of season.
This time around, we chose to use the same Giza 86 cotton as in our shirts for the material--90-gauge twined yarn in both the warp and the weft. Ring-spun yarn is created by using a technique that combines both thinning and twisting of the cotton strands, adding shine and softness. Because of the nonstandard material used, these chinos possess a characteristic brilliance, smoothness, and elasticity.
Creating casual pants that possess craftsman like-detail is cantate's specialty. An accumulation of small details, such as welt hip pockets with sloping, hand-tailored "smile" slits, and narrow belt loops serve to give these pants a unique expression. The colors used are dark beige and moss green.
