“Infant Eyes by Stan Getz”

We have created an original pull over-type sweater 10 yarns of 8 single count British Wool, twisted, like those used in tweed. This piece is hand-woven, of course. Hand-woven sweaters and the materials are famous for being British made, but this piece has been made in Japan. Pieces like these can come from Japan as well. But as simple as this piece looks, the pullover takes two weeks to make. One can even see traces of the hand-made design within the elevated collar area.

The design in the front and back is referred to as the “Alan’s Basket”; getting its roots from the baskets used by fishermen. It is said to be a reference to a “big catch,” essentially a symbol of a fisherman’s success. In addition, this jacket makes use of a “simple cable” knitting fabric in the design.
