We have selected Aegean Sea Cotton known for its long fibers, original to the Turkish region of Izmir. We have spun this with the “open-end” method, creating unique threads for the material. The fabrics have a dry touch, due to the strong intertwinement on the outside and soft twist on the inside. As a result the material is comfortable for the skin, and easy to wear. Standard border clothing made with jersey cloth are tailored vertically in a straight line, but cantate’s border shirts have been customized to be worn also as an inner layer under a jacket.
This has been achieved through leaving excess around the chest, as well as shaping the waist. We have added Bents on both sides of the shirttail, and uses the button as an accent for the item. Also, the grosgrain tape on the back uses authentic silk. We have prepared two different colors this season, Picasso blue and red. The blue shirt is named after Pablo Picasso, who was known to favor these types of shirts, and fits in with the rest of your seasonal closet. The red shirt may also perform as the main character of one’s coordination.
